Ayurveda literally means “the Science of Life”. The goal of Ayurveda is to heal your body with the best in health care for the body and mind while enhancing our self awareness and realization. You can do this preventive or curative. Foods, herbs and teas are used, but also gems and color advice might be suitable.
I combine the knowledge of Ayurveda with Orthomolecular food science and Herbology. Orthomolecular food science looks at minerals, supplements and natural food which contains building blocks for better health. Herbology (use of plants and herbs) can be used to prevent and treat minor imbalances and support an overall better health.
The best promotion of health and balance is to start with a detox. To get more information about appropriate way to detox with the least amount of side effects you can also schedule a consult. This is especially interesting during the beginning of Spring, before or during a big life transit or during any other (seasonal or life) change. Detoxing can also be combined with physical treatments as a support of rejuvenating your body.
During the intake we’re going to discuss your expectations, needs and I will give you some homework. I will also give you some tips to start with. This intake is also about gathering information about what you already tried and where you are at in your journey of becoming healthier.
This consult is holistic, so I will look at your lifestyle and how to support it with meditation, yoga, color use for wearing and in your environment, foods, herbs, gems and exercises based on the Ayurvedic Principles. Keep in mind that this can be a process which takes longer, because of the natural process. It is not a quick fix, but it will give lasting results and will change your outlook on your life and health.
Every time we will check and adjust the program, till we find the right kind of progress for your personal food intake and lifestyle. This is not a diet but a life change, so you will slowly go towards a permanent behavior change in your eating. In the end it is important that you can maintain a certain food and lifestyle by yourself. So we will work towards independence and making healthy choices for yourself.
